VEGASSSTANG HELPS MAKE A WISH Vegasstang was contacted by the Make A Wish Foundation to help bring a young lady's dream of owning a restored classic Mustang become a reality.
Vanessa, a the time, was 17 and suffers from a congenial heart disease. She had purchased a rusted 1967 Mustang Coupe and her wish was to have the interior fixed and a coat of paint slapped on her.
We will not do anything half - if it is to be done, we want to do it right. Following our own ethics, we stripped the car down and discovered it was rusted beyond repair. So we purchased another, repairable 1967 Mustang shell, salvaged what we could from Vanessa's car, and 45 days later, unveiled Tabatha at Gaudin Ford in Las Vegas.
Although we did the build, we had help from many sponsors, such as Scott Drake who donated many parts and provided many more at cost; The Mustang and Classic Car Club of Las Vegas who provided much appreciated labor through club members and helped find donors for many parts; Gaudin Ford who provided donations and a great facility for the unveiling; Operation Mustang who help find donors for parts, National Parts Depot and Kentucky Mustang who donated parts; many others who supplied parts or discounts to make the build possible.
Vegassstang is very thankful to be bale to provide Vanessa with her wish and we thank Make A Wish for allowing us to do the build and be a part of Vanessa's family. |
